You reside in an authentic Philippine village that most tourists never experience. Only 50 meters from the shore you can snorkel above or dive to “the Sinandigan Wall” a major international dive location. Dormitory accommodation is only 7 USD per person per night and it is only 15 minutes walk to the Sabang dive shops. Hot water showers are included with use of the swimming pool and billiard tables. Budget food and drinks are nearby. I have realized that having come here to DIVE it is substantially better value (up to 50% less) to book dives separately than book a pre-paid package of “expensive accommodation and unlimited dives.” At last it is AFFORDABLE for BACKPACKERS IN PUERTO GALERA. Having travelled all over the world the past 20 years you should still be learning every day about booking and scheduling which is why I have always enjoyed travel. I am staying in a inexpensive lovely backpacker hostel called TUNA JOE. You live in an eco-valley just 30 meters from the beach with no traffic noises to interrupt your serenity, just the water splashing on the shore and wind in the palm trees. Butterflies and birds are commonplace amongst the overhanging canopies.
